Our Team of Affiliated Professionals
The first step in selling a business is determining its value. Our team of expert certified business appraisers will then work closely with our business broker and mergers and acquisitions partners to assemble a comprehensive marketing plan to make the transition from business ownership as painless and profitable as possible. All our team members have owned their own businesses and therefore have been through the process themselves. We know firsthand what it is all about and therefore can provide you with the best business valuation service available.

Fred received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from U.C. Berkeley and his MBA from San Diego State. In 2004 he pursued an education with the IBA (Institute of Business Appraisers) and earned the coveted CBA certification (Certified Business Appraiser). He also held a CVA certification with the NACVA, the largest business appraisal association.  Both certifications are presently in Emeritus status.

Fred is the CEO and sole owner of Amador Appraisals and Acquisitions, Inc. During the last 15 years he has written business valuations for over 700 companies. Fred has regularly presented lectures and webinars on business valuation techniques to a number of professional organizations in California. Fred has been invited to present seminars on valuation methodologies at a number of conferences held by various national organizations: 1) the Annual Murphy Business and Financial Convention in Florida, 2) the annual NACVA Appraisers’ Conference in San Diego, 3) the annual New York Society of CPA’s Conference on Wall Street, and 4) the Financial Consultant’s Super Conference in Las Vegas.

Joanie Hall
Joanie received her bachelor's degree in business from San Jose State University. She spent many years in various office management capacities working for attorneys, CPAs, and venture capital companies. At one point in time she was the personal assistant and office manager for the CEO of American Express. Along the way, she has performed accounting and control duties for a number of large and small privately-held companies. Absolutely no document leaves the office of Affordable Business Valuations without her stamp of approval.
It would be a major lapse if we didn't mention that she also raised four beautiful children while she co-managed the $9 million lumberyard with her husband Fred.
Kimberly Hall Fischer
We caught Kimberly here before she put her makeup on. But seriously, she graduated cum laude from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in business in 3-1/2 years! No small feat. When she is not working as a budget analyst for the US Army National Guard for the State of California, she also does research for the many valuations the company prepares.

​Andrew Rogerson is a Certified Mergers and Acquisition Professional (CM&AP) and Mergers & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI) from the M&A Source; their two highest designations. He’s also a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) with the International Business Brokers Association and a Certified Business Broker (CBB) with the California Association of Business Brokers. This means he helps entrepreneurs sell a business or sell a medical practice with a value over $1,000,000, value a business, buy a business or buy a franchise.  

Andrew is an entrepreneur at heart as its part of his DNA. Originally from Australia, Andrew’s grandfather was able to provide the initial finance for two of his children or Andrew’s uncles to establish the Kenworth truck franchise in Australia in the 1950’s. The rest as they say is history as the Kenworth franchise was so successful, Kenworth bought it back. This entrepreneur spirit was passed to Andrew as he is a 5-time business owner having owned two businesses in Australia and now three in California and enjoys helping entrepreneurs exit or enter business ownership.

His services include business brokerage; helping owners sell and/or buyers purchase a business including medical practice. He also provides consulting on purchasing a franchise, certified machinery and equipment appraisals and business valuations.  

To ensure this is done to the highest standards, Andrew carries the CBI designation from the IBBA and M&A Source, the Certified Mergers and Acquisition Professional (CM&AP) and Mergers & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI) from the M&A Source and the Certified Business Broker (CBB) from the California Association of Business Brokers. Appraisals for Machinery & Equipment are certified with the CMEA designation from the NEBB Institute. Andrew carries a Broker’s License from the CA Department of Real Estate, has a Certificate of Taxation, and the past Sacramento Chair of the California Association of Business Brokers. Fred's appraisal research has been published in: 1) IBA’s quarterly journal, the “Business Appraisal Practice,” 2) Business Valuation Resource’s quarterly, the “Business Valuation Update,” 3) Thomson-Reuter’s quarterly journal, the “Valuation Strategies,” and, 4) NACVA’s quarterly, “The Value Examiner.” 

Fred has written over 300 appraisals involving marriage dissolutions and partnership breakups which often required presenting and defending the findings to both parties and their attorneys. Over 100 of his appraisals were for a number of SBA Banks for their loan applicants. Those banks include: Bank of the West, Plumas Bank, Northern Nevada Bank, Temecula Bank, Comerica, Bridge Bank, River City Bank, Five Star Bank, First Community Bank, Umpqua Bank, Rabobank, Pinnacle Bank, and Cornerstone Community Bank. 

2005 to 2009 – Managing partner of Compass Point Capital, specializing in mergers and acquisitions of smaller mid-sized companies ranging in revenues from $5 to $25 million. 

2002 to 2005 – Business broker and business appraiser for Sunbelt Business Advisors of Sacramento and Reno. During this period I successfully completed the course work for business appraisals offered by the IBA (Institute of Business Appraisers) and subsequently received the designation of CBA.

When Fred isn't working with his clients he can be found jogging through the many trails in Folsom.  Fred admits he is not the fastest man on the planet, but occasionally he wins 5k races in his age-group.  The most recent first-place finish was the Bridge to Bridge race in San Francisco.
